IFAK 

The IFAK stands for “individual first aid kits” and is a personal first aid kit, often known as an IFAK. It is a collection of medical supplies designed to assist you if you sustain an injury that requires urgent medical attention, such as a severe cut, a gunshot wound (GSW), or bleeding generally. Each kit contains potentially life-saving materials that can stem the blood flow and prepare the wound for professional medical attention. Bandages that could save a life, a chest seal, a tourniquet, and various other medical items are included in the tactical IFAK.

AFAK 

The acronym “AFAK” stands for “Advanced First Aid Kits,” and it refers to a kit that contains all the necessary supplies and equipment found in an “IFAK,” in addition to additional components that can be used for immediate medical care. Some specialized equipment, such as defibrillators, plaster casts of severe fractures, life-saving drugs, and advanced airway kits, might be found in an AFAK. Some of these kits even include the necessary supplies, such as specific drugs or tools to assist folks dealing with a particular health issue.

Training on correctly operating an IFAK is accessible to practically anyone who wants it. On the other hand, an AFAK is a more sophisticated box of tools. You can personalize your first aid kit and your AFAK by purchasing items such as intravenous fluids, advanced airway tools, NARCAN, a second tourniquet, a chest seal, and other equipment that may improve your chances of survival in the event of severe bleeding. An AFAK, an IFAK, or both can be fastened to your duty belt or bulletproof vest to serve as a first aid kit. The vast majority are compact bags that only have room for one pouch.
